Doug Cave

Doug is a saxophonist, composer and producer.

With a commanding energy on stage and fierce work ethic in the studio, Doug continues to carve his niche as a formidable and friendly musician. Between the groovy psych-soul of Cousin Kula (Rhythm Section Intl), the wild electronic-jazz of Hippo, and Bristol's funky favourites Wasabi Doug thrives on the communion of writing, touring and performing. Beyond his own bands, Doug records and performs freelance with a growing collection of artists including Hannah Williams (The Voice UK) and The Allergies.

Music composed, performed and produced by Doug consistently features on national and global radio stations, including BBC Radio 1, 6Music, Worldwide FM and frequent rotation in Spotify’s Jazz and left-field playlisting.

Based in Bristol, Doug spends time exploring sounds, collaborating with other musicians and producing new music from his home studio. An aptitude for computers and electronics, a love of experimentation and a degree in engineering means much time is spent in pursuit of new noises.

In between all that, Doug also teaches saxophones and synthesis too - get in touch for more details and check out the latest goings on below!
